Greece Riots

December 28th, 2008 by Jordan

We didn’t hear a whole lot about this, and I’m still not sure I understand everything going on, but these pictures help describe a bit.  It’s weird to see a place on fire that I was visiting about a year ago.  You can tell by the pictures, the Greek youth are protesting/rioting against police who murdered a 15 year old.  Of course I’m sure the actions are also tied into the center-right government.

I believe these incidents are more controlled now, and I wouldn’t let it change travel plans to the area.  But that’s just my take.

FLaKoHN Series Greece Button

November 3rd, 2008 by Jordan

This weeks new FLaKoHN Series button – Greece. Available in the Izuno Store. Each button is a limited edition of 100. One 1″ button for $1. I’m going to move the new buttons arrival on Monday’s from now often. Friday’s are a low traffic day in general. Hopefully it will be a week of good news and good posts. I’m in need of something good right now.

note: the pic of the actual button (top left) turned out horrible…I’ll probably redo it sometime this week, but the actual button looks good.

Greek Food – Tomatokeftedes

June 10th, 2008 by Jordan

Tomatokeftedes greece food

Often found in Santorini, Greece.  Tomatokeftedes are tomato balls with onion, zucchini, pepper, paprika, eggs, covered in flour and fried.  It’s basically like a tomato meatball with a light coat of breading.  Fairly easy to make, as the ingredients aren’t all that hard to find.  You can get the recipe from a favorite site of mine, Greek-recipes.com.
