Crumpler Bundle Bag

April 14th, 2008 by Jordan

crumpler bag

For anyone who hasn’t heard of Crumpler…you might need a little warning. They are not your standard suit and tie company….which I admire. Their website pretty much gives you an explanation of how they think. Their bags are top of the line when it comes to durability and functionality. I have had a messenger bag of theirs for a few years now and it is just as good as the day it arrived. The zippers are large and almost industrial like, and the fabric just will not to tear. They don’t make large packs, but the camera bags and the bundle bags above can come in handy for travelers.

Okay all you rich kids out there. This post is for you…because these shirts are n-i-c-e. A little too nice for my budget. Anyone who wants to see state of the art high end travel wear and travel apparel, check out icebreaker. They sell men and women’s travel apparel, have lite wear and ultralite wear…which looks to me like a base layer from Mountain Hardwear or North face. They’ve also got some cool graphic tech tees that are only $69.99, and by only I mean “ridiculously priced at.”

Ethos Water

Ethos Water

Ethos Water…tagline….”Helping Children get Clean Water.” This seems to be a pretty common theme among businesses now. Helping causes around the world and putting out a nice flash website and strong marketing campaign. The main business behind Ethos water is Starbucks. They are also partnered with PepsiCo for distribution purposes. The website will tell you they’ve reached 6.2 million of their 10 million dollar goal. All this by only donating .05 cents for every bottle purchased. Hmm…maybe should have gone for the big dime and you could have reached your goal. Anyways, they give the money to previously established relief organizations. If you wanted to know that.

Jack Wolfskin Store

Jack Wolfskin

A friend of mine has a Jack Wolfskin bacpack and asked me why it wasn’t on my site. Well, now it is. Jack Wolfskin makes outdoor equipment of all kinds, and they’ve got a good portion of their site dedicated to travel as well. They even make really nice travel shoes. The downside? There are no stores in the US…at least that I could find on their site. They are mainly based in Germany, but have stores across Europe. I ran into one once and I jumped at the chance to see the store in person. I need to find out if there are any resellers in the US.

All serious backpackers have known about this site for a while, 2camels.com is the only place you need to go to find out about festivals and events. Find out what’s going on and when, you can search by Country, Type, or Month. They have been around for as long as I can remember and they are still making updates. A pleasant rarity for the travel industry.
